Aboard a fully-crewed catamaran, sail into the Indian Ocean at sunrise for a morning at sea. Eat freshly-prepared breakfast as you sail out towards the coastal shelf that creates the deep water so close to shore. Once you’re in the right place, find a spot where you can best observe the whales and keep your eyes fixed on the surface of the ocean. You can see humpback, blue and sperm whales, as well as schools of dolphins that will play alongside your boat when you’re sailing at speed. When the sun is high in the sky, head back towards Weligama Bay, stopping on the way for some snorkelling and paddleboarding. End with a light lunch on-board before you return to shore.
