As you glide along, glimpse vibrant kingfishers flitting in the trees, local temples burning incense, and emerald paddy fields, tea estates and cinnamon plantations. Travelling by bike gives you the chance to meander at a leisurely pace, soaking in the serenity of this off-the-beaten-track area. En route, stop for a refreshing thambili (King Coconut) and sample some traditional Sri Lankan delicacies. Let us know if you would like to extend your route beyond the standard 12 km.

Riding at a leisurely pace allowed me to fully appreciate the tranquility of the area and soak in the sights and sounds of rural Sri Lanka. The stops for Thambili (King Coconut) were a welcome treat, rejuvenating me for the rest of the journey. The experience is totally off-the-beaten-path which shows the beauty of Galle’s countryside.
